Qinhuangdao Ligang Container Terminals Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary company soly invested by Qinhuangdao Port Group Co., Ltd. It was established in 1994 and put into operation in 1995, mainly managing the container loading & unloading, storage, stuffing & unstuffing and door-to-door land transportation as well as bulk & general cargo handling and storage on container terminals, domestic trade, reefer container and cargo management service and bonded warehouse.

Three container berths are in service with an annual throughput of 600000TEUs and the stockyard covers 360,000㎡.

In 2006, by opening the trunk liner ship between Qinhuangdao and Japan, the port had 8 container shipping lines, which enabled the port to be the trunk internal trade port. The port increased the development on seasonal cargo and major cargo. On basis of stabilizing shipping lines resources, new cargo resources were developed, i.e. the amylum, glass, ketchup increased a lot. Under the situation of more stinging market competition and more difficult market development, taking use of the successful experience of our Manzhouli Office, we sent business representatives to the port cities of Guangzhou, Fangcheng and Quanzhou, thus to break the restriction of economic hinterland. According to the market demand, the land resources were well integrated and the container transportation of lump coal became a new growth point on container transportation, which also helped reduce the pollution during coal transportation.

In 2006, the port container throughput amounted to 200,000 TEUs, increasing 90.4% compared to that of last year, creating a new record of container transportation.
