Application for pilot & towing service

According to the regulations of China Harbor Superintendence Administration, pilot is compulsory for vessels carrying a foreign flag.

24 hours ahead of schedule is needed for domestic vessels applying for pilot.

For ocean going ships and ships carrying foreign flags, application for pilotage shall be done by their agents submitting “Entry Application for International Sailing Vessels” to the pilot company. The Pilot shall board the vessel for pilotage on receiving the Notice of Berthing/Unberthing from the ship agent.

Domestic vessels apply to the pilot company or its agent via the broadcasting station of China Maritime Administration for pilotage.

The Ships Company assigns tug boats to assist berthing or unberthing operation according to the applications from the pilot or the ship.

                                                   Communications Service

Foreign Vessels can communicate with Port of Qinhuangdao.

All vessels carrying foreign flags can contact Qinhuangdao coast station according to international communications practice. VHF can be used to contact with Harbor Master and Penavico for vessels shipping inside the port or mooring in the anchorage.
